Q: I cut my dreads off but now I want them back, can you do it????

A: If you still have your old dreads we will happily knit them back on for you.

Q: Will I lose three quarters of the length of my hair if I get dreads?

A: If you have them made badly by back-brushing and rolling then yes, you will lose a lot of length. However, with our dreads (especially open ended dreads) you are only likely to lose a couple of inches.

Q: If I get head lice do I have to cut my dreadlocks off to get them out?

A: No not at all, just use our no-more-knit solution. See Dreadlock products.

Q: Can I still wash my hair?

A: Yes but only with a natural, oil based shampoo. Chemical shampoos leave a residue that can irritate the scalp and make you itchy and flakey. See dreadlock products for our specially formulated shampoo that also controls dandruff and repels head lice.

Q: Do I have to cut them off if I don’t want them any more?

A: Not necessarily. In our experience dreads can actually be quite easily unpicked within at least the upper half of the dread. See Extra Services.
